Located south of Bristol, overlooking the Bristol Channel, this classic links course compares favorably with the very best of its neighbors across the Celtic Sea.

J.H. Taylor writing of Burnham and Berrow which gave him his first chance as a professional said “ I was fortunate in that I was afforded a splendid opportunity of developing my mashie play at Burnham, for everyone who is familiar with it knows it to be one of the most sporting courses conceivable”. Its great sand hills and the hard to strike greens, which are larger than in “J.H.’s" days are indeed the most important features of this course which has housed the British and the English ladies championships amongst others.

The surrounding dunes are protected areas due to the abundance of wild flowers and in particular the several varieties of orchid, the Bee Orchid, being the most famous due to its rarity.
