Golf has been played on the The Gullane links for over three hundred years.

Now formed into three courses, Gullane 1 the longest is considered to be the most challenging and is one of the qualifying courses when the Open is played at Muirfield.

After a first drive up a tight uphill fairway you are soon on a plateau, enjoying the most spectacular views over the Firth of Forth, from Edinburgh to the west and Muirfield immediately to the east and a number of neighbouring courses in between including, Gullane Nos 2, Lufness New and Kilspindie and Craigelaw outside the village of Aberlady below.

Long links grasses and deep bunkers are the only things to worry about unless there is a wee wind to take care of in addition.
