Unlike its elder neighbor Westward Ho! first appearance of the Saunton courses from the club house is awesome. Formed in 1897 the club has played golf on Braunton Burrows ever since. The East course was redesigned in 1919 by W. Herbert Fowler and although slight modifications have been made since the war, the course is essentially unchanged. It is a true links course winding through magnificent dunes with sheltered greens.

The West course was originally built in the mid 30ís but was used as a battle training ground during WW2. Having been rebuilt in the mid 70ís it is now a superb links course equal in quality to the East course.
